Hello witty readers. Myself Charvi Talati here with another new blog to share a book review of a majestic play titled ‘Macbeth”.
The writer of this astounding play is the most indigenous and profound writer, William Shakespeare. This play is like a roller coaster of emotions. It shows you all the dark phases of life and unfolds a sense of greedy nature filled in humans in front of the readers. Nature embodies a mystic underworld rich with esoteric tradition and almost sacrilegious imagery in “Macbeth”.
First of all, I would like to introduce the characters of our play. We have around 5 to 6 characters who revolve around the story. But the main characters are Macbeth( our hero), Lady Macbeth (his wife) and three witches.
So the play goes like this one night on the heath, the brave and respected general Macbeth encounters three witches who foretell that he will become king of Scotland. At first sceptical, he’s urged on by the ruthless, single-minded ambitions of Lady Macbeth, who suffers none of her husband’s doubt. But seeing the prophecy through to the bloody end leads them both spiralling into paranoia, tyranny, madness, and murder. This shocking tragedy - a violent caution to those seeking power for its own sake - is, to this day, one of Shakespeare’s most popular and influential masterpieces.
This book is beyond imagination. Macbeth is considered to be his best achievement, known for its dark and powerful theme. This book also gives readers new insight into the writings of Shakespeare as all his books make you go deep inside. Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s works that everyone must read during their lifetime, and it reminds us about the danger of ambition and the evil that lurks in every single one of us.
In the end, I would like to quote one of the most famous quotes mentioned by William Shakespeare “Fair is foul, and foul is fair, hover through the fog and filthy air.”
